Stony Point Man Detained After Being Found In Contempt

Christopher Ray Howell, age 44 of Stony Point, was found to be in contempt of court on Monday in Alexander County. He is being held without bond in the County Jail.

Howell has a series of 2023 charges awaiting trial in Iredell County that include driving with license revoked, driving while impaired, hit and run with property damage, reckless driving with wanton disregard and failure to maintain lane control. Those charges are scheduled for trial on June 5th in Statesville.
