Responding Officers and Investigators quickly located the suspect, identified as Jordan Austin Reid, age 31 of Statesville, in the parking lot of the Hallmark Inn. During a search of Reid, officers recovered the weapon believed to have been used in the assault. Due to the extensive crime scene, traffic in the area was detoured as the investigation unfolded.
