Statesville Woman Charged After Two Children Found In Feces Covered Home

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Kameesha Lastasia Maddox of Collier RD. Statesville, on Monday, October 5th. She’s been charged with

Felony negligent child abuse-serious bodily injury (2 counts)
Felony aid and abet

Arrest documentation states “house was covered in feces with feces smearing the walls, filth and trash scattered within the house. No sustainable food products or nutrition for the two children residing
within, no air conditioning or heat in the residence.” Maddox has previous convictions along with prior charges pending. She is being held without bond in the Iredell County Detention Center.
