Statesville Teen Charged

A Statesville teen has been charged in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation.

18-year old Steven Michael Potts was arrested last week by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office and charged with two felony counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and seven felony counts of felony breaking & entering to a motor vehicle. He’s also charged with misdemeanor counts of attempted breaking & entering to a motor vehicle, resisting, delay, or obstruct a law enforcement officer, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. A 15-year-old juvenile faces the same charges.

Potts was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center and remains in custody as of earlier today with a bond listed at $57,500.
