Statesville Police Investigating Fatal Shooting

Statesville, NC – On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., officers with the Statesville Police Department responded to a report of a possible home invasion and a subject who had been shot in the 200 block of E. Bell Street.

Upon arrival, officers located Trevor Miguel Roman, 24, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began rendering aid until Iredell County EMS arrived on scene. Roman later succumbed to his injuries.

The Statesville Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded and initiated an active investigation.

The individual responsible for the shooting has been identified, and there is no threat to the community.

This is an ongoing investigation
