Statesville Police Charge Taylorsville Man

An Alexander County man is facing charges in Iredell County. Furquan Shakeem Maynard, age 21, of Polk Street in Taylorsville, was arrested in Alexander County on Friday and served warrants from Statesville Police for larceny. He has been transferred to the Iredell County Detention Center where is being held without bond.

Maynard has charges pending in Alexander County. On August 12th, 2025, Maynard was arrested by Taylorsville Police and Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies. He was charged with Two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Two counts of Assault by Pointing a Gun and Felony Larceny.
