Statesville Man Jailed By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office

Royce Lee Cox, age 55 of Statesville, was arrested on Saturday by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. As the result of a traffic stop he’s charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cox remained in the Alexander County Detention Center as of earlier today under a secured bond of $4,500. A court date is scheduled for October 31st in Taylorsville.

Cox has a series of charges pending in Catawba County that include felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
