Statesville Man Charged With Passing School Bus

The North Carolina Highway Patrol has released the following information:

STATESVILLE – In reference to the stopped school bus violation that occurred on Old Mountain Road in Iredell County on Thursday, March 2nd, the NC State Highway Patrol (SHP) has made an arrest. Joseph Graham Padgett Jr., 35, of Statesville, was arrested Saturday around 2:10 a.m. by the NC State Highway Patrol. Padgett is charged with passing a stopped school bus, driving while his license was revoked, careless and reckless driving, and improper passing.  He is being held at the Iredell County Detention Center under a $20,000 bond.
