James Adrian Griffin Jr
The charge follows an incident in Statesville last Wednesday. U.S. Marshals arrested James Adrian Griffin Jr., age 43 of Statesville on Friday after his discharge from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Tasheka Reid Aleryani, age 47 of Statesville, was pronounced dead around 12 hours she was allegedly shot by Griffin according to Statesville Police. Griffin and Aleryani were involved in an altercation inside a residence in the 1900 block of Gay Street. Griffin was injured during the incident and was hospitalized.
Griffin is being held without bond in the Iredell County Detention Center and is scheduled to make a court appearance on Monday.
