Statesville Man Charged With Indecent Liberties With A Minor

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday the arrest of a Statesville man for felony indecent liberties with a minor.

21-year old Javier Roberto Hernandez was taken into custody by Iredell County Deputies on January 16th. The investigation began in December, 2019 according to a news release. A school official at East Iredell Middle School notified law enforcement that a student had been sexually abused outside of school by a family friend.

Hernandez was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center with a secured bond of $20,000.
