Statesville Man Charged With Firing Weapon Into Establishment

Statesville Police Officers have arrested a man after he allegedly fired a handgun into an establishment.

27-year-old Ja’Von Janard Freeman of Rolling LN., Statesville is charged with felony discharging a weapon into occupied property, possession of a firearm by a felon, discharging a firearm in city limits, assault with a deadly weapon and damage to real property. According to court records the alleged incident happened on July 5th at a location on West Front Street in Statesville.

Statesville Police have not released any additional details.

Freeman is being held without bond in the Iredell County Detention Center.
