Statesville Man Charged With Child-Sex Crimes

28-year-old Pedro Aguirre Jr. of Craft Lane in Statesville was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with two felony counts apiece of statutory sex offense with a child by an adult and indecent liberties with a child.

On November 20, 2025, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a juvenile victim being sexually assaulted by an adult male suspect. The investigation was assigned to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit for further investigation. The suspect in the case was identified as Pedro Aguirre Jr.

As a result of the investigation, evidence was obtained which led to felony arrest warrants being issued for Aguirre. On December 5, he was arrested by Iredell County Sheriff Deputies. Aguirre was confined in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond. A court appearance is scheduled for December 29.
