Statesville Man Charged In Alexander County With Going Armed To Terror Of The People

Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Alexander County Fairgrounds on Saturday concerning a man causing a disturbance. 20-year-old William Connor Roberts of Statesville was taken into custody. He’s charged with assault by pointing a gun, going armed to the terror of the people, disorderly conduct by fighting and possession of marijuana. Connor remained in custody as of earlier today as was scheduled for a Monday court appearance in Taylorsville.
