Sipe Receives Grant From Choral Society

Mrs. Amy Sipe is the music teacher at Ellendale and Wittenburg Elementary Schools and has been awarded a grant for each school in the amount of $250 from the Hickory Choral Society. Mrs. Sipe will use the grant money to purchase curriculum to use with her students at the schools.  This is the third year Mrs. Sipe has applied and received the award. 

The Hickory Choral Society is made up of approximately 110 singers who are devoted to musical excellence. “We appreciate our music teachers and their efforts to enhance the lives of our students through music and singing,” commented Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Hefner.
