On November 6, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office 911 Center received a report of a possible road rage incident near the intersection of County Home Road and Millersville Road. Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office and troopers from the North Carolina Highway Patrol were dispatched to the area. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicles involved and initiated an investigation.
Through the course of the investigation, officers determined that Robert Morgan Galle had traveled to Catawba County to purchase narcotics from Brian Keith Brown and Albert Dennis Schroeder. Investigators learned that Brown and Schroeder were defrauded by Galle, who allegedly used counterfeit currency to pay for the narcotics.
Following the fraudulent transaction, Brown and Schroeder pursued Galle’s vehicle. During the pursuit, shots were fired into Galle’s vehicle, and the vehicle he was driving was rammed by the suspects. Brown and Schroeder then attempted to flee the scene, at which point Galle rammed their vehicle in return.
As a result of the investigation, the following charges were filed:

Robert Morgan Galle

Galle is being held without bond and is scheduled for his first court appearance on November 10, 2025.

Brian Keith Brown
⏺ one count of Assault with a Deadly Weapon
⏺ one count of Reckless Driving to Endanger
⏺ one count of Driving While License Revoked
Brown is being held on a $10,000 secured bond with a first court appearance on November 10, 2025.

Albert Dennis Schroeder
⏺ one count of Discharging a Weapon into an Occupied Vehicle
Schroeder is being held without bond and is scheduled for his first court appearance on November 10, 2025.
