A Robbery and stabbing is under investigation in Catawba County.
The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened Wednesday at a location off D and K Glass Road is southwest Catawba County. A victim was stabbed and robbed. The victim was transported by EMS to Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. The victim told police that she met a man and woman at a gaming business on Springs Road, where the victim won a sum of money. The victim did not know the two people.
The victim then traveled with the unidentified male and female to an area off of Greedy Highway and D and K Glass Road, where they robbed the victim at knifepoint, and also stabbed the victim causing non-life threatening injuries.
Due to the nature of the alleged incident, the victim’s name is being withheld at this time. Investigators are working to identify the suspects and charges are pending once suspect identification is made.
