On February 3, 2026, Alexander County 911 received a call reporting a road rage incident in the area of Teague Town Road and Church Road. The caller reported that numerous shots had been fired at a vehicle on Church Road.
Deputies responded to the area and subsequently located the suspect vehicle on Alspaugh Dam Road. No injuries or property damage were reported as a result of the incident.

Shuford is currently being held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $400,000.00 secured bond. His first appearance in Alexander County District Court is scheduled for February 9th.
This incident remains under investigation.
