A small airplane made an emergency landing today in an Iredell County field.
According to reports the aircraft went down around 11:30 am near Midway Road. After departing from Lake Norman Airpark, a single-engine Cessna experienced a mechanical failure, resulting in an emergency landing in a wheat field.
The pilot and a passenger were onboard the place, both walked away without injury from the wreckage.
