A pedestrian was struck by a car in Wilkes County last Thursday evening.
77-year old Janet Johnson was attempting to cross NC Highway 18 around 8pm when she was struck by a vehicle according to North Wilkesboro Police.
Johnson was struck by a car driven by a 17-year old who was traveling in the northbound lane.
The victim was airlifted to a regional medical facility with serious injuries.
