A Hickory man was killed while walking along side a roadway in Burke County on Monday.
41-year old Eric Lee Teague was walking near the intersection of Warlicks Church Road and Wilson Road in Connelly Springs when he was hit by a pickup truck shortly after 5 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck will not likely face charges according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
