Conover Police say a man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday.
An 18 year-old female was traveling south on County Home Road around 9pm when she struck a pedestrian who was reported to be lying in the roadway.
30-year old Matthew Morrison, of Conover, was taken to Catawba Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
No charges have been filed as of Monday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
