One person was killed Monday afternoon as the result of a crash north of Taylorsville.
Alexander County 911 operators dispatched crews shortly after 2pm. The crash was on Highway 16 north of Taylorsville near Shade Tree Road.
No other details are available.
The Highway Patrol is investigating.
