Officers Searching For Stabbing Suspect

Hickory Police are searching for man suspected of stabbing a woman multiple times overnight at a McDonalds Restaurant. Officers responded around 9pm Monday to the McDonalds on Fairgrove Church Road. A female had suffered stab wounds as the result of a confrontation with a man identified as 45-year-old Richard Lenoir Church III. Warrants for assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury were issued for Chruch’s arrest this morning.

The female victim was taken to an area hospital, her injuries are said to be non life-threatening.
