Andrew Clay Farmer
The North Wilkesboro Police Department charged Andrew Clay Farmer, 43, of Thomas Street, N Wilkesboro, following an incident at Samaritan’s Purse on Monday, May 18th.
According to a press release a Honda Accord driven by a white male pulled up to the security gate at the Samaritan’s Purse Offices on N.C. Hwy 268. The driver identified himself as a United States Marshal and briefly flashed a badge to Samaritan’s Purse Security. The Security Officer who is also an auxiliary officer with North Wilkesboro Police had the subject leave the property, obtained the vehicle’s tag number, and called 911.
After reviewing security camera footage, Police located the suspect on Thomas Street in North Wilkesboro. It was quickly determined that the suspect, Andrew Clay Farmer had no affiliation with the Marshall’s Service.
Farmer has been charged with Impersonating a law enforcement officer. He’s no longer listed in custody.
