A moped driver was killed in Wilkes County last weekend.
The accident was reported on Saturday, March 30th on US 421 Business near Brickyard Road in Wilkesboro. The time of the mishap was around 11:30 am.
Peter Thiep Ding, 49, of Boone Trail, North Wilkesboro, died from his injuries. Wilkesboro Police say that Ding’s moped crossed the center line and struck a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was not injured.
No charges will be filed.
