North Wilkesboro Man Facing Federal Child Sexual-Exploitation Charges

A Wilkes County man was been arrested and charged on Friday, June 27th following an investigation by the North Wilkesboro Police Department, Boone Police, NC SBI and the Federal Department of Homeland Security.

Scott James Parsons, age 44 of Kensington Drive in North Wilkesboro is facing felony charges after around 30,000 files of suspected child abuse material was found in his home. For now he faces seven counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. More charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.

Parsons was placed in the Wilkes County Jail with bond set for $100,000.
