A North Wilkesboro man has been charged with the armed robbery of a Wilkes County convenience store.
31-year old Joel Pearson Faw of North Wilkesboro, was charged in connection with the armed robbery that occurred at Wykes Food Mart on U.S. 421 in Wilkesboro, on Thursday, June 24, according to the Wilkes County Sheriff’s Office. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen during the heist.
Faw was arrested on July 15th and charged with one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon. He currently being held in the Wilkes County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. The case is still under investigation.
