Investigators with the Long View Police Department and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation have completed their search at 2014 7th Avenue SW in Hickory. No human remains were located during the excavation or the search of the home.
The search followed an anonymous tip concerning possible human remains buried on the property. After investigating the information, investigators obtained a search warrant and searched the property with assistance from the SBI. Although the search at this location has concluded, the investigation remains active and ongoing.
Investigators are continuing to examine other information and evidence obtained during the investigation.
