35-year-old Shannon Nicole Bentley of East 1st Street in Newton was arrested December 3 by Long View Police Officers. She’s charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle, breaking & entering to a motor vehicle with theft, and extortion. Bentley was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility without bond. A District Court date was scheduled Wednesday in Newton.
