56-year-old William Patrick Abernathy of South College Avenue in Newton was arrested Thursday, September 25th by Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies. He’s charged with solicit a child by a computer, second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Abernathy was incarcerated in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $350,000 bond.
