Edgar Guadelupe Mejia-Guzma, age 26 of Newton, was arrested Monday evening by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He’s been charged with felony attempted trafficking methamphetamine by transportation and felony probation violation. Mejia-Guzma is being held in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $20,000. April 20th is listed as a court date.
