Newton Man Charged For Throwing Deadly Missile

54-year-old Adrian Delon McCorkle of Newton has been arrested by Hickory Police on a felony warrant as a fugitive awaiting extradition to another state. He was also charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

McCorkle is wanted by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office in Tampa, Florida for failure to appear on a charge of throwing a deadly missile at, within, or into a building.

McCorkle was jailed Wednesday, August 30th. He’s jailed in the Catawba County Detention Center without bond on the fugitive warrant. Bond on the drug charge was set at $2,000.

A first appearance in District Court was scheduled for Thursday in Newton.
