43-year-old Francisco Javier Roman-Guadarrama of River Rock Lane in Newton was arrested Tuesday, December 30th on charges filed by the Hickory Police Department and Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. Hickory Police charged him with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance, carrying a concealed gun, misdemeanor larceny and second-degree trespass. The Catawba County Sheriff’s Office charged Roman-Guadarrama with felony possession of schedule II controlled substance and placed him on an ICE detainer. Following the arrest, the suspect was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility. A District Court date was scheduled Wednesday.
