A Newton man is charged with charges after a break in report. 35 year old Thomas Paul James was taken into custody by Newton police on Wednesday and charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, and obtaining property by false pretense. James was placed in the Catawba County Detention Center under a secured bond of $40,000. He is slated to appear in court today.
