Katelyn Nash has been selected to lead as the West Alexander Middle School principal effective May 13, 2022. Nash has served as the assistant principal at the school for three years. During this time, she helped West achieve redesignation as a North Carolina School to Watch.
“I am thrilled, grateful, and deeply honored to have the opportunity to serve as the next principal at West Alexander Middle School. I have been truly blessed to have been a part of the Bulldog family for the last three years and look forward to continuing to build relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community. Together we can encourage students to learn, achieve, and reach success,” Nash commented. “Go Bulldogs!!”
Nash is a former high school math teacher with a master’s degree in Executive Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. She taught math at West Iredell High School. Nash earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in Education from Appalachian State University. Katelyn and her husband, Chesley, have a daughter Clara and reside in Statesville.
