The murder charge against 29-year-old Allan Anthony Little of Conover has been dismissed. District Attorney Scott Reilly says the charge was dismissed today. Little was arrested March 13 by Hickory Police Officers and charged with murder in connection to an incident at a location on Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard in Hickory.
According to reports, an individual was stabbed outside the New Season Hickory Metro Treatment Center. The victim was brought to the hospital and later passed away as a result of the injuries sustained in the incident. The deceased was identified as 37-year-old Cory Andrew Hartness.
Prosecutors have determined that Little was acting in self-defense and dismissed the case Little has been released from the Catawba County Detention Facility.
