Ronda – On Sunday, July 26th at approximately 2:30 pm the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated a fatal collision on US 421 South near Clingman Road, in Wilkes County. A Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling South on US 421, drove off the roadway to the right before colliding with the guardrail.
The driver of the Harley Davidson, Todd Calloway, 58, of Thomasville, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to an area hospital by EMS.
Speed or impairment are not suspected as contributing circumstances in the collision.
