Christopher George Myers
Following an afternoon investigation by Morganton Public Safety Officers, they arrested 53-year-old Christopher George Myers of Morganton in connection with the death of a male victim located near the railroad tracks on East Union Street.
Myers has been charged with First Degree Murder and was booked in the Burke County Jail without bond. A Monday (September 28) court date was scheduled. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is being released at this time.
The Morganton Department of Public Safety extended its appreciation to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Norfolk Southern Police, and the Burke County Sheriff’s Office for their support and assistance during this incident.
