Morganton Man Charged With Alexander County Assault…Updated

22-year old Dawson Vance Mitchell of Morganton was arrested Saturday by Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputies and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He was also charged with vandalism/damage to personal property and reckless driving with wanton disregard. Mitchell is being held in the Alexander County Detention Center without bond pending an initial court appearance today in district court.

Update: According to the arrest report, the suspect rammed another occupied vehicle on Three Forks Church Road early Saturday morning. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
