More Drug Arrests Announced By Alexander County Sheriff’s Office

Around 10 pm on Thursday August 6th The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a residence off Earp Lane in Taylorsville.

Investigators located methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during the search. ️

As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested and charged:

Ronald James Roop, age 59, of Taylorsville, was charged with:

Possession of methamphetamine
Maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping a controlled substance
Possession of drug paraphernalia

Roop is being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond, but has since made bond. His first appearance in Alexander County District Court is scheduled for Monday August 10

Shelia Ann Harrington, age 61, of Taylorsville, was charged with:

Two counts Possession of methamphetamine
Maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping a controlled substance
Two counts Possession of drug paraphernalia

Harrington is being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under no bond. Her first appearance in Alexander County District Court is scheduled for August 10th. One count of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia stem from a previous incident.
