The search for two persons reported ended Friday after both were found shot and killed off North College Avenue in Newton.
Newton Police Officers and the Catawba County Sheriff’s Deputies were attempting to locate a couple that had been reported missing. The vehicles of both missing persons were found around 11 p.m. in the parking lot The Observer News Enterprise on North College Avenue. The bodies were discovered inside the building. Both had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
The deceased were identified as 55-year-old Cindy J. Hull and 58-year-old Larry B. Brigham, both of Newton. Reports indicate the two were in relationship prior to this incident.
Newton Police and the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate.
