The mayor of the Wilkes County Town of Ronda has resigned along with a Town Board member.
Mayor Roberta “Mickey” Cruise and Mayor Pro Tem JoAnn Royal made a statement last week on social media. In the 13-minute message, Cruise stated that she and Royal had been bullied by three board members, which were “spreading lies” about them.
Cruise says that accusations have been made against her for allegedly stealing money along with other town officials. She completely denies the allegations.
