Taylorsville: The scouting report on the Marvin Ridge Softball Team was, they hit it well and they hit with power. Sadly For Alexander Central the scouting report was quite accurate.
The visitors from Waxhaw took the lead on the first pitch of the game when lead-off hitter Ella Tracy homered. It was a sign of things to come for Marvin Ridge, they would slug four homers on the night
The Mavericks would build a 9-0 lead before Alexander Central scored three times in the 4th.
AC finishes the season at 21-5.
Marvin Ridge is 22-3. They will advance to the 4A West Regional series against #1 seed (24-2) Hickory Ridge of Harrisburg. Hickory Ridge advance by beating Northwest Guilford 2-1 on Friday.
