The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing incident.
Deputies were called just before noon on Wednesday to a location on River Hills CT in Stony Point. A male was suffering a stab wound. The victim was taken to Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville and later airlifted to the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. The victim is said to be in serious condition.
Sheriff Chad Pennell says the investigation is active and suspects have been developed and identified but no arrest has been made at this time.
