Burke County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to a church on Piney Road Tuesday morning around 10 am after a caller reported a shooting.
A press release says the shooting took place in the roadway near a church. Investigators learned a male subject suffered a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. A male subject was shot during an altercation with a reported cousin. The victim suffered a non-life threatening injury and told Deputies he did not want to prosecute.
