Taylorsville Man Jailed After Being Charged With Assaulting Deputy

A man is in custody after allegedly assaulting an Alexander County Sheriff’s Deputy on Wednesday.

Daniel Scott Blackburn, age 35 of Taylorsville, is charged with assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and vandalism with property damage. As of earlier today, Blackburn remains in the Alexander County Detention Center.
