22-year old Jason Scott Chapman of Stony Point was arrested Monday evening by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office. He’s charged with assault by strangulation and vandalism with damage to personal property. Chapman has been detained in the Alexander County Jail and is being held without bond. A court appearance is scheduled for Monday, April 17th in Alexander County District Court.
