A man was shot to death Friday night in a Hudson parking lot.
The incident was reported around 8:30pm in the parking lot of the Hudson Dollar General Store on Pine Mountain Road. Hudson Police have identified the victim as 44-year old Terry Dale Hefner. He was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Hefner exchanged gunfire with another man, Jody Shane Maltba, age 33 of Lenoir. Maltba was taken to a regional medical facility with life-threatening gunshot wounds.
