Man Convicted Of Trafficking Meth In Caldwell County

Last week in Caldwell County Superior Court , 41-year-old David Mark Joyce of Great Falls, SC was convicted of Trafficking Methamphetamine. Following the conviction, the court sentenced Joyce to 70 to 93 months in prison.

On October 29, 2024, a Caldwell County Deputy attempted to stop a black Chevrolet Cobalt in the Valmead Community after the driver ran a red light at Hwy. 321 North. The driver fled northbound on Hwy 321, leading deputies on a pursuit into Blowing Rock, where the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Joyce was taken into custody after exiting the vehicle. A bag in his possession contained 175 grams of methamphetamine. Joyce was then arrested and charged with multiple offenses including drug counts and flee to elude arrest.
