Man Charged With Trafficking Fentanyl And Methamphetamine

Ethan Trent Roten, age 21 of Hamptonville, was arrested Wednesday morning by the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and fentanyl, maintaining a vehicle for controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roten is being held in the Catawba County Jail under a secured bond of $55,000. A court appearance is scheduled for today in Newton.

Roten has a pending charge of death by vehicle in Caldwell County.
